Frequently asked questions

Plain answers, including the one that matters most: can anyone guarantee recovery?

No one can guarantee the recovery of stolen or lost cryptocurrency. Aurexis investigates and traces digital assets and produces evidence-based findings. Recovery, where possible, usually depends on the cooperation of exchanges, custodians, law enforcement, or legal processes outside our control. We are transparent about this from the first conversation and will never promise or imply a guaranteed outcome.

Never. We will not request seed phrases, private keys, exchange passwords, authentication codes, or remote access to your devices. We only need public information such as wallet addresses and transaction hashes, plus records and correspondence you can safely share.

An assessment begins with your contact details, the incident category, an approximate date, the cryptocurrency and network involved, an approximate loss amount, and any public transaction hashes or wallet addresses you have. You can also upload receipts, screenshots, and correspondence securely through the intake workflow.

We initially support Bitcoin, Ethereum, and selected EVM-compatible networks, with an architecture designed to expand to additional chains. Coverage depends on the data sources available for a given network at the time of investigation.

Most engagements begin with a fixed-fee preliminary assessment. If a full investigation is appropriate, we provide a custom quotation based on complexity, network coverage, and scope. We never charge fabricated exchange release fees, government clearance charges, or fees based on claims that funds have been found or are awaiting release.

Yes. Client information and evidence are treated as highly sensitive. Access is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis, and significant access is logged. Details are set out in our engagement agreement and privacy policy.

We can help prepare evidence suitable for reporting to law enforcement or regulators, and we can coordinate with qualified legal professionals. We do not, however, represent that we have law-enforcement, regulatory, or governmental powers, and we cannot compel any authority to act.

A secondary recovery scam targets people who have already lost cryptocurrency, often by posing as a recovery service that guarantees results, requests upfront fees, or asks for access to your wallet. We brief every client on how to recognize and avoid these scams, and we encourage skepticism toward any promise of guaranteed recovery.

Investigator credentials are published only after internal verification. We do not fabricate qualifications, certifications, partnerships, or case results. Where a credential cannot be verified, it is not presented.

No. Aurexis is an independent investigation and intelligence service. We do not provide legal representation or regulated financial services, and we do not custody client cryptocurrency or execute transfers on a client's behalf.
